Shunning the difference engines and thinking machines of the current age, these two tortured priests take the hymns of their past lives and pervert them into vast walls of howling sound; a blood-flecked gobbet of phlegm in the eye of their one-time Lord. Unholy screeches echo in a cathedral of white-noise static. Compared to acts as diverse as Burzum, Lustmord, Wolf Eyes and Sunn0))), Wraiths play equal parts black ambient, noise and ritualised drone.

"In the wake of Oriflamme (Aurora Borealis) and The Grey Emperor (at war with false noise), WRAITHS complete the triptych with Dust In Our Mouths, a crepuscular litany following on the heels of the Four Horsemen.

Where the previous works were an assault on the senses, Dust In Our Mouths sees WRAITHS in requiem mode, an organic and darkly ritual recording, captured and crafted from a performance deep in the dank cellars of Edinburgh. Washes of sound create an uneasy shroud-like texture as the tolling of bells brings to mind a processional, devotional element. There's a strange, deeply moribund beauty to the proceedings.

Long after the fires have burnt out, after the last plague cart has left town, the final dirt has been shoveled into the pit, Dust In Our Mouths rings out."

"Recorded live and under ritual conditions, Oriflamme was Wraiths' first creation. The insanely limited CDr release was quickly consumed by collectors of the truly profane and now this vinyl presentation has been ordained by the ghastly monks themselves in conjunction with Aurora Borealis. Blackened death-ambient drone meets howling, metallic noise.

Transcribed directly from the C60 tape used in the original recording, this vinyl version of Wraiths' Orflamme is a black monolith of utterly corrupted, pre-industrial plague-noise. Unsanitised, unsterilised and unhallowed - this is Oriflamme how it was meant to be heard with tape fluctuations, collapsing band members and malfunctioning equipment intact."

Presented on 180gm black vinyl housed in a heavyweight matte sleeve, with obscure imagery and illusory ageing, limited to 500.
